In April 2018, EJI (Equal Justice Initiative) opened the National Memorial for Peace and Justice memorial as well as The Legacy museum in Montgomery, Alabama to allow visitors to gather and reflect on America’s history of racial inequality.
Located on the site of a former warehouse where black people were enslaved in Montgomery, Alabama, this narrative museum uses interactive media, sculpture, videography and exhibits to immerse visitors in the sights and sounds of the domestic slave trade

We created two illustrated 2D videos that provide historical facts related to the domestic slave trade and show the harrowing journey behind the relocation of thousands of enslaved people from the Mid-Atlantic region to cities in the South, like Montgomery itself.
The Legacy Museum: From Enslavement to Mass Incarceration opened to the public on April 26, 2018, in Montgomery, Alabama.
So far, both the memorial and the museum have garnered unanimous praise and made international headlines for confronting the legacy of slavery. We are glad to have played a small role in helping to prompt a national debate on this most important topic.
